Eight Texas towns. One strip of black earth.

Kept in Blooming Grove, Texas by Robert Phipps, who brokers real estate in these counties and chairs the Blooming Grove Housing Authority. Corrections and photographs are welcome and are the main thing this needs.
The Blackland Prairie is a belt of deep black clay running southwest through three counties. It is older than the county lines, and it is the reason these places belong in one record. Each town gets its own page as it is built; until then it is listed as what it is, with what is held for it.
The record lives at Blooming Grove's own address, where it has always been, so old links still work.
Blooming Grove is the only town with a page of its own so far. The others are places in the record, not pages waiting to be filled — each one gets built when there is something true to put on it.
